"Challenged Minds"

Years passed without awareness,
Every tongue spoke in warning,
Do not wish your life away,
For a day will arrive,
Of challenge to your mind,
With less time.

If one chooses to squander time,
Caution to a challenged mind...
Time squandered is lost forever,
Bring something forward, in wisdom.
Enjoy living, experiencing the
Wonders of Life !

Strife with complexity appears
All alone, no assistance needed...
Warnings are naught,
Nights long...
To recover.
Challenged Minds search for resolution.

Dreams become goals,
Goals become reality
Reality is What?
Exactly what one makes it.
Reproach cannot be placed on the innocent.
All must stand accountable.

If the innocent become guilty by reproach,
What is left of stability?
Creative lies grasping ears,
When the truth is so much more interesting.
Twisted turns of words,
Tragedy.

Be the best you can be,
Challenge your mind indefinitely
Shoot for the moon,
You will land somewhere in between,
bringing contentment in your life.
Achievments of challenged minds.

"AGED DAYS"

How cunning life truly is
draws one to rise with the
light of the sun,
retire as it disappears.

Temptation is beyond that horizon.
All mankind has been there,
at least once.
Denial of it over years...

Adds age to one's days.
Flashing color splashed everywhere!
A mind loses reality in illusive
Light...
For the back of the canvas is black.

Yet, mankind debates over greens
of all sorts...
Cards lure a already depressed soul
to place wagers on green velvet
last of a paycheck.

Music luring from a dark hole
sound not normal melody of the radio.
Tempatation lies within...
Look at their faces,
Attempt eye contact...
one may choose to leave...

Temptation constantly haunts a
"Challenged Mind", for the
darkness at times can appear as an oasis. In reality brings painful
burning, sometimes eternal.

A Challenged Mind analyzes rapidly
Greater percentage of choosing
Against tempation in any form.

But being human, as we all are and have knowledge of: Greed is Green, Pain is Pain, Need is Need, Deed is Deed, Life is Life, Death is Death, Love is Love, Hate is Hate, Truth is Truth, Lie is Lie.

Why do people find a need to lie?
Have often pondered that thought, found many speculative answers...
is there one answer?
reality is, we all sin.

A Church is not a house for saints
It is a Hospital for sinners...
Help a neighbor, friend...
Smile within.

Life is good if one sees the best
of everything, rather than concentrating on the worse.

"Aged Days" bring Wisdom, a witness in life.

Should have, could have
Did or Did Not
Made no difference really

Something will always bring
Change,
Just as the second hand passes
without notice upon the
Face of the clock,
until...
Time passed is clearly recognized.

Poetic Love Letters

"BUT I PAUSED"

Today
I wanted to say
some words ~
beautiful words.

Something soft
to touch your heart.
Something warm
to touch you lightly.

And hold you even tighter,
but...
I paused
To think
wondering ~

In the back of my mind
If you would
Turn me away ~

I needed to say
Something beautiful~
Something to let you know
I care.

and

I searched
and
Searched
Grasping for
Thoughts
and
needing Time.

But I paused~~~
and the moment was gone.

Poetic Love Letters

" ONLY A DREAM "

I lay in a field of amber
With a brook gently flowing
and birds soaring.

I dream dreams of love; Peace
A place where people love and are loved.

Where war is but a myth;
Peace a Reality.
But only a dream I fear.

When I awake alas the world is
Angered with my dreams;
Saying that they are foolish,
and that I shall never return to
my fantasy world again.

But one day I will return and
I feel the day is near.
For my life not worth the living,
I ask no tears be shed.
As the sun kisses the earth farewell, so must I!

For I lay in a field of amber
With a brook gently flowing
and birds soaring.

I dream dreams of love; Peace
A place where people love
and are loved.
Where war is but a myth;
Peace a Reality.
A Dream I hold so dear!

"MARIGOLDS"

How come~
you can't see me?
you look right at me
but see me
on physically.
and sometimes
not even then.

you avoid my eyes~
and do not look
inside me~
and see
The person hidden there.

Hidden~
Deep within
Beneath
The storm
and
confusion,
Sealed inside
My mind.

Whirling colors~
Marigolds~
and
Summer sun---
Passion heights
and kisses
gentle
with the summer's
Breeze
and you~

Straying----
yet keeping
within
the Limits
of my thoughts.

And me~
Alone.
Because you care
For the person
On the surface
and not the one
hidden beneath~

Longing for You
Longing for Escape
Longing for Love.

STORMS

As the tick of the alarm clock,
Passes with each second in time
Thunder sustains in the Gulf.
Scattering voices in the winds.

Hours listening to the anger
Within the eye prevents sleep.
Twisting without cease
Once it begins.

Screams in the gusts
Rushing water surging forward.
Without notice it begins to
Creep early...
Then suddenly is ashore.

Anger in the sea
Anger in the wind
Anger in the storm

Feel the thunder deep within.
Intense anger is one hundred
Miles south of here...
Watching the bands of warning
Moving vividly in the sky.

Announcing the arrival
Of Anger nearby...
Birds begin with the bands
Finding refuge upon the shore.
Natural shelters for them,
Dunes, Swamps and Trees.

Spouts dance across the Gulf
Twisting and laughing
With eyes focused on the dance
Powerful gulf and bay waters
Move with the strong gusts
Bringing sustained intensity,
Suddenly.

Water Drawn to the storm center
Giving false security of
Low Tide...
Forces Back to shores, surging
Unpredictable...

One cannot understand
The relentless energy within
Anger of a storm.
Intense experiences qualify.
Hours, fifty five years
Lifetime of bitter-sweet awe.

Because one lives on an island
Does not mean it is paradise.
Alarms are for the keen,
Tis' a reminder...
As the tick tock of time
Creeps slowly by...

Labor Day week end this time.
What is truly valuable in life?
An asset is determined by each,
Perhaps the things that cannot
Be Bought remind us all that
Priceless Assets are
Not for Sale
Life,Time,Love,Health...
This moment...

Money or Reality?
Perhaps the alarm of the clock,
Is to give reminder to the fact
Life is a short journey
With only one chance at being
The best one can be during it.

"Friends shall find Friends."
TauP Y360 2007

He was a special friend...
Lost track of him.
While he was with us all
Wisdom and heart he shared.

We have a unique group of minds
Challenged always against time
Such an honor in life
With such friends of integrity

Who would have ever thought
The internet would bring today
An experiment of our time
Yesterday...

May all find contentment
Allow the emotion of resentment
Fall to the wayside...

Life is good
Time is priceless
If you awoke this morning
Your issues can be resolved.

The mind is losing focus
But foot prints left behind
Give guidance...
Strength of the mind
Can overcome weakness
Of the body...

But not alone...

Thank you all for your Friendship...as it is indeed
a Priceless asset.

" WILL "

THERE IS NO CHANCE, no destiny, no fate,

Can circumvent or hinder or control

The firm resolve of a determined soul.

Gifts count for nothing; will alone is great;

All things give way before it, soon or late.

What obstacle can stay the mighty force

Of the sea-seeking river in its course,

Or cause the ascending orb of day to wait?

Each wellborn soul must win what it deserves.

Let the fool prate of luck. The fortunate

Is he whose earnest purpose never swerves,

Whose slightest action or inaction serves

The one great aim. Why, even Death stands still,

And waits an hour sometimes for such a will.

fun picture.

And on the roads I see them often, the goats or just one goat always the first to lead the heard
with the sheep coming behind.

And they say, "to goat"

ha! ha!

//a determined soul//

this is interesting to me, because it could have two opposite meanings.
a) the determined soul, the soul that is strongly willing to achieve this or that, and
b) the determined soul, the soul that is (was) determined BY this or that.

but given the a) soul that is strongly willing to achieve this or that, was it is
determined BY?

not by fate, no.
But what?

I love that picture
that chicken crossing the bridge
it makes me feel brave

//What obstacle can stay the mighty force

Of the sea-seeking river in its course,//

and i ask myself:
will i ever be like the sea-seeking river
in the pursuit of dreams?

//Why, even Death stands still,

And waits an hour sometimes for such a will.//

most admirable

//THERE IS NO CHANCE, no destiny, no fate,

Can circumvent or hinder or control

The firm resolve of a determined soul.//

yes!
